Revolutionise your lighting!

LuxLive 2011 hailed a resounding success
The launch of LuxLive has been hailed a resounding success, attracting over 4,650 attendees to an event that has already firmly established itself as the UK’s leading commercial lighting exhibition.

The event saw 3,849 visitors, 90 exhibiting companies and 809 exhibitors in attendance over the two days. Providing the industry with an invaluable resource for sourcing new products, sharing ideas, networking and researching the latest developments in lighting, there was a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability, with Peter Denny, Thorn Lighting, describing it as ‘an event of its time.’

Ray Molony, Event Director, comments: “We have been overwhelmed by how LuxLive has been received by the entire industry. We made a promise to the lighting industry to deliver the full supply chain to the event, including major end users, and I am pleased to say we kept that promise.”

Exhibitors at the 2011 event included GE, Philips, Osram, Thorn, F.W. Thorpe, Holophane, Toshiba and many more. Among the visitors were sustainability directors, energy managers and property chiefs from the UK’s major companies and organisations with large lighting estates, including: Tesco, BAA and TfL.

2012 event already well underway, this year’s exhibitors are also extremely pleased. “We’ve been blown away by the success of LuxLive,” said GE general manager UK, Mike Barratt. “At least 15 per cent of the attendees have been end users such as retail property managers with large real estates. To get so many end users, who are directly impacted by high energy costs right now, I think is great.”
